Like characters in literature and films, we are constantly experiencing a change or transformation that alters our lives in unthinkable ways. This can be an internal change, coming of age, growth, and much more. Persimmon Review is searching for pieces that explore the concept of change through art and writing that draws and reflects on past experiences.  

Submission Deadline: 

Sunday, October 13-Sunday, December 15,2024 

General Guidelines 

Persimmon Review accepts unpublished pieces of short story, poetry, creative nonfiction, and visual art. 

Simultaneous submissions: We accept simultaneous submissions, but please notify us via email (persimmonreviewofficial@gmail.com) to withdraw your submission if your piece got accepted elsewhere.  

All ages can submit 

We do not accept pieces containing explicit content, discriminatory messages, violence, academic essays, and plagiarism (no use of AI). 

Rights remain with the author/artist upon publication. 

Applicants may submit up to two short stories per submission. 

Formatting: Times New Roman, 12-point font, double spaced
